
Lotte James Graduate 2015
Lotte James trained at NSW International Ballet Academy from 2011 until 2015.
In 2015 she graduated from the full time program and was awarded a full scholarship to to study at the Ballet Academy of the University of Music and Theater Munich. She completed her studies with a Bachelor of Arts.
From the 2018/19 season, Lotte James danced in the Bavarian Junior Ballet Munich under the direction of Ivan Liška. There she has performed in choreographies by Jörg Mannes, Caroline Finn, Jiří Kylián, Eric Gauthier, Hans Van Manen, Richard Siegal, Christopher Wheeldon, John Neumeier and George Balanchine. At the Heinz Bosl Foundation’s matinee in spring 2018, her choreography “Evanesce” was performed and included in the Junior Ballet’s repertoire.
She moved to Alto Ballett Essen in autumn 2021 and expanded her repertoire to include works by John Cranko, among others.
Since the 2022/23 season, she has been a company member of Ballett am Rhein and has since danced in “The Nutcracker” and “Krabat” by Demis Volpi. She has also appeared in “Le sacre du printemps” by Marcos Morau, “Artifact II” by William Forsythe, “Eine kleine Frau” by Neshama Nashman and in “The Story of Blind Trust” by Hege Haagenrud.
