Welcoming students and families from the North Shore of Sydney for 26 years, the NSW International Ballet Academy is the pre-eminent dance training facility for classical and contemporary dance catering for children from 3 to 18 years of age. With a focus on individual instruction in classes and following the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, we encourage students to strive for their personal best in structured programs.

Our studio is a true sanctuary for students — a light, airy, fully air-conditioned space where children feel safe, supported and inspired. With welcoming hangout areas and a warm community atmosphere, it becomes a place where lifelong ballet friendships are formed and children can reconnect after even the toughest school day.

Your child will be guided by professionally qualified teachers who bring international experience to every class. Through a thoughtfully structured and age-appropriate program, students build strong foundational ballet skills, confidence and a genuine love of dance — all delivered in a fun and imaginative way.

We keep class sizes small so every dancer receives the individual attention they deserve. Our supportive culture encourages each child to work toward their personal best, fostering resilience, creativity and friendships that last well beyond their early ballet years.

Convenience for families matters to us. With a location just off the Pacific Highway and Ryde Road intersection, secure underground parking, easy one-click enrolment, flexible class times, stress-free make-ups and priority registration for current families, we make participation simple and seamless.

Beyond the classroom, families can relax in our in-house café while dancers train, shop for uniforms at our on-site “Ballet Bling” store, and enjoy our spectacular biannual full-length story ballet concert — complete with beautiful costumes that are yours to keep.

We look forward to having you join us at our state of the art facilities in Pymble. These include six large studios, all with fully sprung floors and performance quality tarkett, a dedicated school work room, separate student hang out room and change room – all in a secure area that allows you to drop and collect your child at a time that suits you. These facilities, along with our world class faculty of senior teachers, make our Academy the dance school of choice in the Upper North Shore.
