Senior School – Ages 12 to 18 in 2026

We follow the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, which is one of the most recognised in the world. Most senior school students will be ready for Vocational Levels beginning at Intermediate Foundation.
The Vocational Program includes examinations Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced Foundation, Advanced 1 and Advanced 2. These levels are best for students who wish to take their ballet more seriously and who are keen to devote their time and effort to building skills that will allow them to enter the dance industry in due course if they wish.
NSWIBA students are supported in their training to progress to full time training and also to achieve their personal best in a warm and nurturing environment. Our small class sizes allow plenty of individual attention from our professionally qualified faculty.
Your child will attend classes three times a week, plus a strength and conditioning class. Pointe work for girls is started at Intermediate Foundation level so it is key to ensure students have sufficient strength and range to attempt pointe work safely.
Complementing our ballet classes at Vocational Level are Open Classes, Strength and Conditioning, and Contemporary classes. Private lessons to improve technique are available on request. If your child is keen to compete in solo eisteddfods, we are happy to assess them for suitability.
If your child has already commenced these levels and you know the appropriate level for them, then please enrol here:
If your child is coming from another syllabus, or hasn’t done ballet before, then we would love to welcome them for a free trial class so we can advise on the ideal set of classes. Please CLICK HERE to request a free trial class
